✓Responsible for installation, configuration and maintenance of Unix operating system and all related systems
✓Detect and diagnose all Unix related problems.
✓Responsible for recovery and backup process.
✓Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting knowledge of Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server and Veritas Netbackup Client.
✓Understanding of Network OSI Model, TCP/IP and Routing.
✓Good knowledge of RAID Levels such as RAID-0, RAID-1, RAID-1+0, RAID-5.
✓Working experience on SAN /NAS storage with ability to lead incidents in real time towards resolution.
✓Configuring EMC/Hitachi LUNs on UNIX servers.
✓Understating of LVM/VXVM and detect underlying HW/SW issues and fix those effectively
✓Understanding of multipath concept and its implementation as well.
✓Working knowledge of coding and scripting e.g. Shell or Python etc.
✓Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible or an equivalent Devops tool
✓Communication and interpersonal skills.
✓Effective time management
✓Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities.
✓Worked in an infrastructure critical environment and understands how technology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer.
